Technology
CEREC® Omnicam 3D Printing
CAD/CAM stands for Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Milling (CAM). 3D images can be uploaded into special CAD software, allowing the dentist to evaluate the exact details of the appearance and function of the restoration. This software can also help the patient to visualize the end result of the proposed restoration.
Once the design is finalized, the files are sent to the CAM system for fabrication of the restoration to the exact specifications of the design. Use of CAD/CAM technology increases efficiency and accuracy, and can often reduce the overall number of patient visits needed.
CEREC® Omnicam 3D Same Day Crowns & Veneers
Using 3-D printing and in house laboratory, Koppelman Dental can offer same day crowns and veneers in just one visit. With an in house lab, we can customize any color to match and match any unique characteristics. This means less visits, no temporaries, and less times getting numb.
Sirona® Orthophos XG 3D Imaging Cone Beam Scanner
CBCT (CT scan, cone beam computer tomography) - While most doctors are still looking at a two dimensional image of a three dimensional object, Koppelman Dental uses 3-D imaging to help visualize and diagnose infections, cracks, pathologies, etc., that can often be missed with conventional X-Rays.
Pain Free Anesthesia
Getting someone numb to prepare for dental treatment should not be painful. With special techniques that Dr Koppelman has created, pain free anesthesia is possible.
For some, the worst part of any treatment is the idea of a painful injection. Coupling his specialized techniquest with specialized topical numbing medicines, Dr. Koppelman is able to provide each patient a gentle touch while delivering injections and anesthesia essentially pain free.
Isolite System
Let's face it, keeping your mouth open for any oral medical procedure can be tiring. Utilizing the Isolite Sytem is just one of the many ways available at Koppelman Dental that can provide comfortable treatment. The Isolite system allows you to gently place your mouth and jaw in a rested placement rather than staying open. The days of your dentist saying “Stay open, and open wider” are no more at our office. Isolite also prevents any cross contamination, allowing for smoother care and allowing the new fillings the best chance of long term success by preventing any contamination. Keeping to the highest standard of protocol, we have designed a system to allow for comfort through every step of the way.
Nitrous Oxide
In our office, we offer nervous patients nitrous oxide, also known nicknamed "laughing gas," as a solution for dental anxiety. With its anxiolytic, relaxing properties, nitrous oxide can help make patients more comfortable during treatment.
Digital X-Ray
Digital x-rays reduce the amount of radiation needed as compared to film x-rays. The improved diagnostic capability of digital x-rays and the ability to view the x-rays on a computer screen allow the patient to better understand and follow treatment. Digital x-rays are instant, there is no longer a need to develop the film. Digital x-rays save time and increase patient care. It’s also a very green technology. By eliminating film, developer and chemical waste it is better for you and the environment!
BioLase™ WaterLase Lasers
Utilizing laser dentistry has man advantages. From faster healing to sometimes not even needing anesthesia, Koppelman Dental utilizes two different types of lasers for many different soft and hard tissue augmentations, allowing for more aesthetic results, faster healing, and less pain!
Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Using Electronic Medical Records our practice is able to quickly and accurately access patient information in order to provide the utmost in patient care. This helps to ensure patient confidentiality as well as reduce the need for paper. Using a digital format allows for quick access to your information when needed for insurance records yet provides a secure filing system.
Digital Intraoral Cameras
An intra-oral camera combines the latest video technologies with dental care. Both the patient and dentist can see detailed images of the teeth and mouth in real time. With an intraoral camera, you are able to better understand what is happening in your mouth and review the status of your oral health.
Prophy-Jet Polishers
Traditionally, teeth are polished using a rotating rubber cup and an abrasive paste. Prophy-jet polishing, however, uses an air polishing system with a combination of pressurized water and baking soda to remove more stubborn stains.
Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer affects thousands of Americans yearly. We use the latest technology to detect changes in oral tissue consistencies and/or lesions. A specialized light is shined into the mouth to detect unhealthy tissue. Healthy tissue looks lighter under the light while spots of bad tissue appear dark. With early detection, cancer may be caught before it has time to spread, potentially saving lives.
Ultra Quiet Electric Handpieces
These handpieces provide less vibration and noise than traditional dental drills. Not only are they quieter, but also more efficient in tooth preparation making dental procedures shorter and more manageable.
Noise Cancelling Headphones
These ultra quiet headphones are for patient use during any dental procedure. Patients can listen to their favorite music, movie, or television show without having to hear all of the surrounding noise going on as the dental work is being performed.
Digital Flat Screen Monitors
These monitors are found next to every patient chair. Patients can watch a movie or TV show. Patients can also view their dental radiographs when speaking to the doctor about the findings for a better understanding of their oral health.
iPads®
We offer iPads® to our patients for use during their visit to our office.
